Our Staff

Dr. Garrett Davis Dr. Garrett Davis : Practice Founder & Staff Veterinarian
      S. Garrett Davis, D.V.M.

Dr. S. Garrett Davis received his Doctorate in 2003 from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.  He practiced in the greater Memphis for 4 years before founding Arlington Pet Hospital, PLLC in 2007 and East Memphis Pet Hospital in 2012.  Dr. Davis has particular interest and experience with orthopedic and general surgery, and he also spends a significant portion of his time guiding our 2 staffs and hospitals as we seek to provide excellence every day in the pet healthcare profession.  Away from work, Dr. Davis enjoys just about anything to do with the outdoors.  He particularly enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife Courtney, their three children Sam, Coco, and Rett; as well as their dog Teal (Labrador).


Dr. Jennifer Bean Allen Dr. Jennifer Bean Allen : Staff Veterinarian

Jennifer R. Bean Allen, D.V.M.

Dr. Jennifer Bean Allen received a Doctorate in 2011 from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine.  She has special interests in internal medicine, dermatology, feline medicine, and ultrasound.  In addition to her veterinary interests, Dr. Bean Allen enjoys playing soccer, exercising, cooking, and listening to music.  She shares her life with her husband, David, and their 3 dogs Layla, Fara, & Squats and 2 cats Miles & PJ. 

Dr. Heather Laros-Beard Dr. Heather Laros-Beard : Staff Veterinarian

Heather Laros-Beard, D.V.M.

Dr. Heather Laros-Beard received a Doctorate in 2010 from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  She has special interests in internal medicine & surgery.  Dr. Laros-Beard is also a graduate of the Chi Institute of Chinese Veterinary Medicine and is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist for large and small animals.  Dr. Laros-Beard is currently receiving her certification from UT for Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner.  Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband Daniel, their son JT and both their families.  She also enjoys weight training, equestrian sports, playing with her beloved cat Hammy and her dog Chance.

Dr. Alisha Hezel Dr. Alisha Hezel : Staff Veterinarian

Alisha Hezel, D.V.M

Dr. Alisha Hezel grew up in Memphis and graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Memphis in 2004, and her Doctorate from the University of Tenneessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008.  Dr. Hezel received additional specialty training during a one-year rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City and training in Reproduction locally and in Melbourne, Australia where she practiced for a year.  She now enjoys the diversity and personalized care she can provide through general practice, with special interests in internal medicine, dermatology, reproduction, and soft tissue surgery.  Dr. Hezel also sits on the board of the Memphis Veterinary Medical Association and in her free time she enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, scuba diving, playing with her Australian Shepherd Cali and spending time with family and friends.

Charles A. Rahm, Jr, DVM

Dr. Charles R. Rahm, Jr., was born and raised in Jackson, TN.  He received his Doctorate in 2015 from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine.  He is looking forward to beginning his career with specialty interests in surgery, internal and preventative medicine, and nutrition. Dr. Rahm is a Tennessee athletics fan, especially football, and also enjoys water sports, skiing, fishing, and getting in a good workout.  He enjoys caring for and sharing time with wife Kimber and their family pets Lucy, Lexi, Hotch, Graham, and Neyland.

Mary Marshall Fenton, DVM

Dr. Mary Marshall Fenton is a 2016 graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.  Dr. Fenton is originally from Paducah, KY, and she completed her undergraduate studies at Sewanee, before attending Auburn University to pursue her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.  Her special interests include riding and competing on her horses Drake and Maarten.  Dr. Fenton also enjoys hiking and camping with her husband Taylor and her dog Violet.  Her professional interests include surgery, internal medicine, and diagnostic imaging


Cheryl Deshotel Cheryl Deshotel : LVMT - Office/Staff Manager

Cheryl Deshotel - Office Manager

Cheryl joined Arlington Pet Hospital in February 2012 as a Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician and is now our Office Manager.  She has a combined experience of 12 years in the veterinary field working abroad at Army Veterinary Clinics in Japan and Guam and stateside in Washington and Tennessee.  She is currently licensed in both the states of WA and TN.  She enjoys volunteering at animal shelters, and spending her time gardening, traveling and exploring with her husband Bruce and their dogs Frogger and Bitsy.

Jesslynn Noll Jesslynn Noll : East Memphis Lead Reception/Office Assistant

Jesslynn Noll - East Memphis Client Relations Manager/Office Assistant

Jesslynn moved to Memphis 7 years ago and joined our East Memphis staff in 2012 as part of our reception team.  Her experience and extensive background in customer service has led Jesslynn to become our East Memphis Lead Reception/Office Assistant. She is the proud mother of her little girl Eva and her 4 legged baby, Munch.  In her spare time she likes to go biking, hiking, and spend time outdoors.

Marylynne Garey - Lead Veterinary Technician, LVMT & Office Assistant

Marylynne joined Arlington Pet Hospital in February 2009 and became a Lead Veterinary Technician in 2012.  With her experience and well rounded knowledge of the Veterinary field, she also assists both our Arlington & East Memphis clinics as an Office Assistant.  Marylynne graduated from San Juan College with her Associates of Applied Sciences in Veterinary Technology and received her Veterinary Technician License in 2016.  In Marylynne's free time she loves to play with her cats Bella, Martin, and Oliver and her dogs Shay and Molly.

Courtney Jones - Boarding Supervisor & Groomer

Courtney began her career with Arlington Pet Hospital in June of 2008, starting as a Boarding Staff team member.  She is now our Boarding Supervisor & Groomer.  Courtney loves caring for all of our patients, and enjoys the challenges that come along with caring for both our well patients and those experiencing illness.  Courtney has a cute little Chihuahua named Lacie who is now 8 years old. Lacie is the love of Courtney's life and means everything to her.  In her free time, Courtney likes to take Lacie to the dog park, enjoys painting, and relaxing with friends and family.

Rachel Mendes - Groomer

Rachel joined Arlington Pet Hospital in June 2012 as a pet groomer.  Rachel began her career in 2008, and she loves being able to transform pets, from simple neat-ups to full-body haircuts, helping these pets feel better while also improving their appearance.  Rachel enjoys spending her free time cooking, reading, and loving all things Disney.  She shares her life with her husband, Brandon, their son Aker, and their 3 dogs and 1 cat.  Their family will soon be expanding in November as Rachel is expecting their 2nd child.

Brittney has just recently joined the APH/EMPH grooming team.  She graduated from the PetsMart Grooming Academy in 2013 and has 4 years experience in the grooming/pet salon field.  She grew up in Memphis and likes to spend her free time painting and playing with her 2 dogs.

Brittanie Ward - Groomer

Brittanie began working as a Boarding Staff Member in 2010, and in 2013 she began training for her grooming career here at APH.  She values the experience and knowledge she gains from getting to know and care for Arlington and East Memphis' clients and pets through both her roles as groomer and boarding staff member.  Outside of work, Brittanie enjoys spending her free time with her fiance Chad, and their son CJ; as well as their boxer mix pooch, Rockey.
