Cam Hornsby, DVM

Chief of Staff

Dr. Hornsby is a native Memphian.  He was born and raised in midtown Memphis and attended White Station High.  He then attended Colorado College and later earned his degree in molecular biology from The University of Memphis.  He worked in cancer research at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute for several years before veterinary college.  Dr. Hornsby graduated from The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008, where he focused on internal medicine, surgery, neurology, and dermatology.   

After earning his DVM from UT, Dr. Hornsby practiced in Chapel Hill, NC for 2 years.  He and his family then moved back home to Tennessee where he practiced and served as medical director of VCA Animal Care Center.  He then went on to practice emergency critical care medicine and serve as the medical director of Nashville Pet Emergency Clinics. For the past several years he has practiced at a busy downtown veterinary hospital in Memphis.

Dr. Hornsby is extremely excited to be part of the Arlington Pet Hospital team and he looks forward to taking care of all of your beloved pets!  He is proud to be part of a group of vets offering the very best of veterinary medicine to the Memphis area!

Dr. Hornsby is joined in Memphis by his wife Erin, their two children, four dogs, one cat, and one bearded dragon.  He looks forward to meeting you and taking care of all your beloved furry family members!
